In the role you will be involved in working on projects for new builds and repair works across both commercial and residential sectors with varying project values.
Responsibilities
- Estimate for new building and repair work.
- Write building insurance assessment reports.
- Create accurate scopes of work.
- Work with Project Managers to achieve budgets.
- Coordinate trades and specialist reports when required.
- Communicate and negotiate with trades to track and maintain knowledge of industry rates.
- Knowledge of BCA and Australian standards
- Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met.
About you
- Insurance building experience neccessary.
- Strong time and organisational management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Ability to prepare building reinstament estimates up to $200,000.
- Excellent communication skills
- Insurance industry building experience is considered an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of current market rates and trade allowances
- Knowledge of OHS practices, legislation, and regulations.
